The Role
The Project Engineer - Infrastructure reports to the Engineering Manager – Infrastructure carrying out Project Engineering tasks to support the infrastructure function of the business.

Coordinates Engineering input to support schedule development.

Works with department managers and others as needed for alignment, effective planning, and execution.

Works with the engineering department and project managers as needed to ensure they understand and adhere to the schedule including those activities required of Engineering to support procurement.

Coordinates and monitors schedule updates and submittal.

Coordinates with clients, internal and external, and managers to determine design codes and establish overall design criteria for the project.

Oversees all work is performed in accordance with the approved manuals and procedures.

Ensures engineering stays within scope and as-sold intent of the project, including items such as interpretation of scope, assisting in identifying budget deviations, determining potential for change orders, and coordinating the cost estimate / schedule impact with managers.

Implements approved project changes and associated schedule impact for the project and communication of changes to the managers.

Verifies project quality processes are being followed.

Holds reoccurring design coordination meetings as needed with the project team to ensure coordination and that all departments work in conjunction with one another.

Coordinates with Project Management and Procurement to establish proper document distribution to internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinates engineering field support, field communication, through the utilization of the RFI system.

Reviews and provide engineering input in support of the weekly and monthly reports on the status and projects of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.

Participates in project review meetings

Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in any engineering discipline from ABET accredited university required
-
5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary projects including mechanical, structural, electrical, and control systems in the execution of EPC projects and proposals.

Strong preference for industrial experience supporting construction teams for Balance of Plant scopes.

Desired experience with engineered fixed equipment in the material handling or abrasive blasting industry.

Ability to understand client specifications, procurement, commissioning and start-up standards, documentation, practices, vendor data approvals, etc.

Demonstrated experience following quality assurance and control procedures

Ability to analyze problems, make technical decisions, and implement adequate solutions.

Demonstrates a proactive approach and consistently positive demeanor

Demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time sensitive deadlines.

Exhibits effective oral, listening, and written communication skills

Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Must be able to maneuver around a job site, including climbing ladders and stairs

Open Office Environment

M-F Between hours of 7am-5pm

Approximately 20% for job site visits and client meetings
Compensation:
$80,000 to $130,000 per year annual salary.
