Project Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the successful execution and completion of a major high-rise building project. This position requires strong technical expertise in structural and architectural works, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination and Management: Assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day management of the project, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget tracking. Coordinate with various teams including contractors, subcontractors, architects, and consultants to ensure project milestones are met.
• Technical Supervision: Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Review and approve technical drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Quality and Safety: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards and ensure all work adheres to safety protocols.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and meeting minutes. Prepare regular progress reports for the Project Manager and senior management.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential issues and challenges and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track. Address technical queries from the site team and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, with at least 3 years of direct experience on high-rise building projects.
• Skills:
• Proven track record of managing and supervising on-site construction activities for multi-story buildings.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai/UAE.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
