The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail. This role will involve both technical and managerial responsibilities, coordinating with various teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Management: Oversee all construction activities on-site, ensuring that work is executed according to the approved design, schedule, and safety standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits of the work.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other engineers to ensure smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
- Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies. Conduct regular safety briefings and risk assessments.
- Technical Support: Provide technical advice and guidance to junior engineers and contractors, resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Resource Management: Ensure the availability of resources (materials, equipment, and manpower) to avoid delays and ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare regular reports on project progress, including updates on timelines, budgets, and any issues or delays.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, safety documentation, and quality reports.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any site issues or challenges that may impact the project timeline or quality.
- Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, identify potential cost savings, and report on financial status to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in site engineering in UAE
- Familiarity with industry software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or other site management tools).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
