Job Summary:Responsible for coordinating, supervising, and executing all engineering and site activities to ensure the project is completed according to design, specifications, and contract requirements. Acts as the technical interface between the construction site and project stakeholders, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, construction methodology, and authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards before execution
- Coordinating with consultants, architects, and MEP teams to resolve design discrepancies, RFIs, and technical queries in a timely manner
- Planning daily and weekly construction activities with site engineers and foremen to achieve progress targets while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Monitoring site execution to ensure adherence to approved construction methodologies, QA/QC procedures, and authority guidelines (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, etc.)
- Verifying that materials delivered to site comply with approved submittals and are stored, handled, and installed as per manufacturer recommendations
- Coordinating with procurement to ensure timely delivery of project materials, specialized equipment, and subcontractor mobilization to avoid delays
- Supervising and guiding site engineers in preparing work inspection requests (WIRs) and material inspection requests (MIRs) for consultant approval
- Tracking construction progress against the baseline program and reporting deviations to the Construction Manager for corrective actions
- Coordinating with the QA/QC team for inspections, snag lists, and closure of non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Monitoring subcontractor performance, ensuring their works are aligned with the main contractor’s schedule, quality expectations, and HSE standards
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements on site, conducting toolbox talks when required
- Preparing and maintaining site documentation including daily progress reports, site memos, and as-built drawings in coordination with the document controller
- Liaising with the planning department for resource allocation and look-ahead schedules to maintain workflow continuity
- Supporting in cost control by monitoring material wastage, equipment utilization, and manpower productivity on site
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 9 or more years of experience in building construction including at least 5 years in Dubai.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, structural and finishing works, and local authority requirements.
