Project Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our construction management team. Duties

• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets using tools such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design intent.
• Coordinate daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, and other industry tools to track progress, manage documentation, and facilitate communication.
• Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates by analyzing plans and specifications for labor, materials, and equipment needs.
• Monitor project schedules closely; update timelines regularly with Primavera or Primavera P6 to identify potential delays early and implement corrective actions.
• Review contracts and change orders to ensure scope compliance and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site inspections to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to design schematics.
• Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions; prepare detailed reports for leadership review.
• Support project management teams in risk assessment, resource allocation, and time management strategies for optimal project delivery.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction engineering or a related field with a strong background in construction site activities.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes using HeavyBid or similar software is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is essential for success in this role.
• Demonstrated proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Primavera is required.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles including Civil 3D applications is preferred.
• Prior experience managing or supporting large-scale construction projects within a construction management environment is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of contracts, safety regulations, and quality standards relevant to the construction industry.
• Excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
