Project Engineer (Contractor)

Key Accountabilities
- Review and interpret project specifications, design drawings, and client requirements.
- Evaluate technical proposals for compliance with contractual and engineering standards.
- Coordinate between design, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Support design validation and provide feedback to improve constructability and feasibility.
- Supervise and monitor civil and electronic installation activities on site.
- Ensure works comply with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Track project progress, identify deviations or risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct inspections to ensure technical consistency across engineering disciplines.
- Prepare weekly site progress reports and maintain comprehensive technical records.
- Compile documentation including inspection reports, material tracking, and site correspondence.
- Update as built drawings and ensure all site modifications are documented.
- Maintain accurate logs of work progress, resource utilization, and material consumption.
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
- Assist project management with technical presentations, status updates, and site reports.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to align execution with design intent.
- Enforce project quality control procedures and inspection protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Report and address any non conformities or deviations promptly.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, including 3 years in the UAE, preferably in site based roles for infrastructure, system integration, or multi discipline projects.
- Solid knowledge of civil construction practices, structural interfacing, and electronic systems (sensors, control units, power, communication systems).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project.
- Exposure to project management frameworks (PMBOK, Agile, PRINCE2).
- Certification such as CAPM or similar.
- Basic experience in budget tracking or procurement support.
- Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
