Project Engineer - Bureau Veritas North America
Job Overview
- Perform Project Management for Transmission power substation projects: monitor and control daily activities, ensuring alignment with the baseline and achieving project milestones. Resolve issues that could delay timelines.
- Implement risk management, issue management, change management, and performance reporting for projects; analyze any delays.
- Lead day to day scrum meetings with stakeholders and OBS team members to collaborate, improve planning, and advance project progress toward targets.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the reporting line manager.
- Adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual in accordance with DEWA safety standards.
- Validate site progress against the baseline, identify variances in timelines, and take corrective action to keep the plan on track.
- Manage official communication with stakeholders through the DEWA system (D 2).
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and project management processes.
- Holder of PM certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, analytical, planning, organizing, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing stakeholders at site to deliver projects within scope and allocation budget.
Experience & Education
- Electric field: Minimum 6 years of experience in power transmission projects.
- Civil field: Minimum 8 years of experience in power transmission projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
