Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure full implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Safety Plan on-site along with its good interaction with the Consultant, Project Manager/s (PMs), Safety Officer and Third-Party Inspection agencies (if any).
- To raise the unclear / and or discrepancy to Technical Engineer.
- To coordinate and cooperate with QA/QC in order to achieve the required quality.
- Accomplish project objectives through proper planning, schedule and evaluation of project activities.
- Enforce and implement policies and procedures on-site.
- Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews for the project.
- Prepare and completes on site action plans set.
- Implement productivity by meeting on-time schedule, quality and service standards.
- Identify trends, system improvements and changes to further development.
- Resolve issues and complete and close out non-conformances from audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Meet financial objectives by participating actively in forecasting requirements for budget preparation, schedule expenditures, analysing variations.
- Complete all work to approved shop drawings and contract specifications.
- Ensure correct procedure is implemented for each activity communicated and adhered to by the supervising site resource and workforce.
- Ensure material availability for continuous, uninterrupted work on-site and gives requirements to Project Engineer.
- Ensure full compliance to the quality of work with contract specifications and drawings.
- Ensure proper monitoring of site activities and progress as per the plan.
- Responsible for submitting and securing Consultant’s approval on the executed works at the site.
- Ensure site safety and quality construction as per approved shop drawings and the scope given to him.
- To provide feedback in order to submit weekly and monthly progress reports as per agreed system and procedure.
- Proper and smooth coordination between project site and site management with regards to purchase of construction equipment and all other communication in monitoring of the progress of the project. · In charge of the execution of the Project within the allocated time and budget set. · Ensure effective communication interface coordination with other existing contractors and subcontractors on-site.
- Ensure smooth progress of work at Construction Site.
- Responsibility should be limited to implement the instruction based on the approved shop drawings.
- To follow up the ongoing activities.
- Stick to all the safety regulations.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Project Engineer.
- Control of workforce on Site.
- Delivering of Site Construction activities as per schedule and standard with the best cost-effective manner.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a Master’s degree is preferred;
- Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, superiors/managers, clients and other external contacts.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
- Has outstanding skills in activities management, process improvement, planning, performance management
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, proficiency in Arabic language is an additional skill
- 10 years or more experience in UAE or GCC.
