Job Purpose
Responsible for managing all Civil and Fit Out projects including planning, execution and completion. Responsible for coordinating with Clients and Vendors, reporting progress, planning activities and mitigating risks to ensure delivery of projects and work orders within agreed time, cost and quality standards.
Principal Accountabilities

Coordinate with contractors, project designers, suppliers and vendors. Plan overall project completion including ordering materials, raising payment requests and purchase orders in line with Wasael procurement rules.

Maintain a risk register. Revise, update and report to the Projects and Civil Works Manager on design, construction and project related risks. Provide mitigation options for approval.

Act as primary contact with external consultants, contractors and vendors for assigned projects.

Prepare Project Proposals and Requests for Proposal for approval.

Manage project requirements, maintain internal cost control procedures and monitor and document project progress.

Manage coordination with internal Wasael departments to ensure turnkey project delivery.

Schedule, chair and attend all project meetings. Record minutes and track action items.

Act as the central point for receiving project information. Distribute communication to the project team and stakeholders under the direction of the Projects and Civil Works Manager.

Prepare weekly project dashboards on design, construction and handover status focusing on time, quality and cost.

Respond to queries from contractors, suppliers and designers under the direction of the Projects and Civil Works Manager to resolve design and site issues.

Manage project scope. Ensure all scope of work is defined and awarded to contractors. Prepare scope descriptions and RFP when required.

Communicate with Client representatives through scheduled meetings. Record minutes and document action items.

Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing contracts, progress payments and final account completion.

Support Value Engineering exercises to achieve cost or time savings.

Follow up CAFM and FSI system work orders and report on AMC Service Provider performance.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager.

Qualifications
Education
-
Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering

Chartered membership of a recognised professional body preferred (RIBA, RICS, ICE)

Project Management Professional certified preferred

Valid UAE Driving License
Work Experience
-
Minimum 5 years experience in Project Management at supervisory level

Experience managing budgets and schedules from project inception to completion including authority approvals
-
Ability to resolve coordination issues between disciplines such as Interior Design and MEP
-
Minimum 2 years experience in GCC preferred
Knowledge

Strong knowledge of architectural design, drafting, building materials, building codes, construction techniques and cost management

Able to interpret project requirements, coordinate and distribute information across the project team

Able to request information and approvals when required and report progress and risks to stakeholders
