Project Engineer

Position Overview:

Synergy Corporation is seeking a competent and experienced Project Engineer (Electrical) to support the execution and delivery of complex electrical and infrastructure projects. The incumbent will play a critical role in assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordination, execution, testing, and commissioning of projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

The candidate must possess hands-on experience in electrical systems, including MV/LV distribution, diesel generator systems, and site execution, along with strong coordination and documentation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution & Site Supervision

• Execute and supervise installation activities for:
• Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems
• Transformers, RMUs, VCB panels, and MDBs
• Diesel Generator sets and synchronization systems
• Cable laying, glanding, termination, and routing
• Ensure all activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project scope
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and site teams for smooth execution

Monitor site progress, manpower deployment, and productivity.

2. Engineering & Technical Support

• Assist in preparation and review of:
• Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Load calculations and cable sizing
• Voltage drop and short circuit analysis
• Support design implementation for:
• Earthing and lightning protection systems
• Internal and external lighting systems
• Review and validate shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals .

3. Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct and supervise testing activities including:
• Insulation Resistance (IR) testing
• High Voltage (Hipot) testing (up to 28kV)
• Transformer and cable testing
• Assist in protection relay configuration and testing for VCB panels
• Support commissioning and synchronization of diesel generators using controllers such as Deep Sea, ComAp, and InteliGen
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

4. Project Planning & Coordination

• Assist in development and monitoring of project schedules
• Coordinate with internal departments including design, procurement, and QA/QC
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders for technical approvals and progress updates
• Identify project risks and contribute to mitigation planning

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain:
• Daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Inspection requests (IRs) and quality checklists
• Material submittals and approval logs
• Maintain records of:
• BOQ tracking and material consumption
• Site instructions, variations, and correspondences
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documentation

6. Quality Assurance & HSE Compliance

• Ensure all work complies with project specifications and international standards (IEC/IEEE)
• Conduct regular site inspections and enforce quality control procedures
• Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies on site
• Participate in safety meetings, audits, and toolbox talks

7. Commercial & Cost Control Support

• Assist in BOQ preparation, quantity verification, and cost estimation
• Monitor material usage and minimize wastage
• Support billing processes, IPC preparation, and variation claims

8. ERP & Resource Coordination

• Coordinate with stores and logistics for material issuance and tracking
• Maintain accurate project data, inventory records, and resource allocation
• Support ERP system inputs and reporting accuracy

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (PEC Registered)
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in electrical project execution

Technical Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of MV/LV power distribution systems
• Experience in diesel generator systems and synchronization
• Familiarity with protection systems and relay coordination
• Hands-on experience with testing and commissioning equipment

Software Proficiency:

• AutoCAD
• ETAP / Ecodial / Simaris
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)
• Power Quality Analyzers (e.g., Kyoritsu/HIOKI)
• Genset Controllers: Deep Sea, ComAp, InteliGen , DIEF

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
