About Ikaai India Research Pvt. Ltd.
Ikaai India Research Pvt. Ltd. is a New Delhi–based monitoring and evaluation organization working with Government of India ministries, development partners, and multilateral agencies. The founders have over a decade of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and large-scale field research across sectors such as renewable energy, women and child development, fisheries, education, and skill development. Our vision is to advance data-driven decision-making by delivering evidence-based impact assessments and independent evaluations that inform public policy and program design.
Ikaai India is seeking a motivated and technically sound Project Engineer to join its core evaluation team. The selected candidate will support technical reviews, conduct field inspections, coordinate with stakeholders, and contribute to analytical reporting for infrastructure and energy-sector projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical, analytical, and coordination support in the execution of infrastructure and energy-sector evaluation projects. The role combines desk-based research with field-based verification and stakeholder engagement.
i. Technical Review & Secondary Research
· Review and analyze project documentation such as DPRs, progress reports, design documents, and monitoring data.
· Examine SLDC/SCADA data, system performance records, and related technical datasets to assess operational efficiency.
· Support preparation of technical summaries, data sheets, and benchmarking tables for analysis and reporting.
· Identify implementation challenges, gaps, and best practices through document analysis and consultations.
ii. Field Visits & Site Inspection
· Conduct on-site inspections of substations, transmission lines, power stations, or related infrastructure assets as part of project verification.
· Collect quantitative and qualitative data on technical parameters, site conditions, and asset utilization.
· Coordinate with local stakeholders, engineers, and contractors to facilitate smooth site assessments.
iii. Data Analysis & Report Preparation
· Compile, validate, and interpret field and secondary data for inclusion in technical reports.
· Contribute to drafting progress notes, technical briefs, and final project reports.
· Assist in developing presentations, charts, and analytical summaries for internal and external review meetings.
iv. Stakeholder Consultation & Coordination
· Support organization of consultations and interviews with project stakeholders including engineers, technical experts, and implementing agencies.
· Maintain documentation of stakeholder interactions and key technical insights.
· Liaise with field engineers, data collectors, and internal research staff to ensure timely information flow.
· Participate in internal team meetings and contribute to discussions on project design and delivery.
v. Project Management Support
· Assist in scheduling field activities and tracking project timelines.
· Ensure adherence to quality standards and data verification protocols.
· Provide regular progress updates to the project manager or technical lead.
Qualifications & Experience:
Remuneration:
₹ 2,40,000 – 3,60,000 per annum (based on qualifications and experience)
