Project Engineer finishing

Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Location: Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning & Coordination
• Review project specifications, drawings, and material submittals related to finishing works.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance and approvals.
• Prepare and update work schedules for finishing activities aligned with overall project timelines.
• Execution & Supervision
• Supervise and monitor all finishing works on site (block works, plastering, painting, flooring, false ceiling, carpentry, joinery, waterproofing, aluminum & glazing, and façade finishes).
• Ensure proper sequence of finishing works and coordination with MEP services to avoid rework.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, and safety compliance.
• Quality & Compliance
• Ensure all finishing materials meet approved specifications and consultant/Client requirements.
• Conduct snagging and de-snagging works and manage handing-over procedures.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation related to finishing works.
• Cost & Procurement Support
• Assist the procurement team in identifying finishing material requirements and verifying suppliers/subcontractors.
• Control wastage of materials and monitor productivity of manpower and subcontractors.
• Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Highlight risks, delays, or technical issues and propose solutions.
• Document inspection requests (IRs), method statements, and work permits related to finishing works.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Site/Finishing Engineer.
• Mandatory experience with a Main Contractor in Dubai.
• Proven track record in high-rise towers, hotels, or luxury residential/commercial projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of finishing materials and methods.
• Familiar with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, and consultant approval processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
