Project Engineer - Fitout / Civil

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision

• Oversee daily site activities for civil and interior fit‑out works.
• Ensure work execution aligns with approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.

2. Technical Coordination

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, designers, and subcontractors.
• Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Identify discrepancies and raise RFIs for clarification.

3. Project Planning

• Prepare daily/weekly work programs and manpower allocation.
• Track project milestones and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Assist in preparing project schedules and look‑ahead plans.

4. Quality Control

• Conduct inspections for civil, joinery, and MEP works.
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes, authority regulations, and company QA/QC standards.
• Maintain checklists, ITPs, and inspection records.

5. Material & Resource Management

• Prepare material requisitions and follow up with procurement.
• Verify deliveries and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Manage tools, equipment, and manpower efficiently.

6. Authority Coordination

• Support submissions and inspections with:
• Dubai Municipality (DM)
• Dubai Civil Defence (DCD)
• DEWA
• DU / Etisalat
• Trakhees / TECOM / DDA
• Ensure all works comply with authority requirements.

7. HSE Compliance

• Enforce site safety rules and ensure compliance with HSE plans.
• Conduct toolbox talks and report incidents/near misses.
• Coordinate with HSE Officer for risk assessments and safety inspections.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site reports, progress reports, and site diaries.
• Prepare snag lists and manage closure of NCRs.
• Assist in preparing handover documentation and as‑built drawings.

9. Cost & Time Control

• Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
• Track variations and support QS in preparing VO documentation.
• Ensure works are completed within budget and timeline.

10. Handover & Close‑Out

• Conduct final inspections with consultants/clients.
• Ensure all snags are closed and documentation is complete.
• Support final testing, commissioning, and project close‑out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• 5 – 10 years UAE experience in Fit‑Out / Civil Construction
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
