Project Engineer for a Commercial Construction General Contractor (4 years Required)

Kirkland based, growing commercial general contractor seeks motivated project engineers/ assistant project managers for primarily Tenant Improvement & Office/ Retail Core & Shell projects in the greater Puget Sound region. Confidentiality assured.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist in bidding projects - Assist in preparing and updating all assigned project schedules - Assist in writing Contracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders; monitoring sub-contractor's agreements and noting problems and providing explanations - Assist in identifying problems or potential problems as they relate to the organization of the job; prioritizing tasks to provide a smooth flow of progress throughout the project; overseeing the tasks and responsibilities assigned to employees and subcontractors - Quality Control to include: assist in assuring all procedures and workmanship meet RCA standards - Assist in enforcing the Company Safety and Security Policy and Procedures on the project site at all times - Can-Do attitude, motivated and organized - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Great communication skills with clients and team members - Understands the importance of working as a team within the organization and has the ability in assisting Subcontractors to assure their success on the project - Performance meets or exceeds client's expectations (customer driven) - Computer skills (Microsoft Office -- Outlook, Word, Excel)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Qualified candidates will have some experience on commercial construction projects. Individuals must possess strong leadership abilities and be responsible for managing subcontractors and suppliers, cost monitoring, scheduling and problem solving - Competent in reading blueprints, specifications and knowledgeable in commercial construction methods - Proficient with MS Office, mobile & cloud based technologies - Fluent in English both oral and written (multilingual a bonus) - Drug-free and the ability to pass a background check We offer competitive salaries and benefit packages.
