Job Description: Project Engineer – Hydrotesting SpecialistPosition Overview

The Project Engineer – Hydrotesting Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising hydrostatic testing activities across client sites and projects. This role ensures all hydrotesting operations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications while coordinating closely with clients, technicians, and internal teams.

JD:

1.Planning and Coordination of day to day work:

Develop and implement hydrotest plans and procedures.

Coordinate scheduling and logistics for hydrotesting activities.

2.Supervision:

Oversee hydrotest crews and technicians during testing operations.

Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.

3.Testing Operations:

Conduct hydrostatic tests on pipelines, vessels, and other equipment.

Monitor test parameters and ensure compliance with industry standards.

4.Data Collection and Analysis:

Record and analyze test data to assess the integrity of the tested components.

Prepare detailed reports on test results and findings.

5.Quality Control:

Ensure that all equipment used in hydrotesting is calibrated and functioning properly.

Maintain quality assurance throughout the testing process.

6.Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API).

Liaise with regulatory bodies and inspectors as needed.

7.Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve issues that arise during testing operations.

Implement corrective actions as necessary.

8. Understanding and Following the Drawings:

Analyzing the drawing such as P&ID, ISO, Alignment sheets and markup drawing and able to prepare the test loop

Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in hydrotesting, pressure testing, or pipeline testing projects.
  • Experience in oil & gas, EPC, or industrial services preferred.
  • Immediate joiner is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of hydrostatic testing procedures for pipelines, vessels, and valves.
  • Familiarity with ASME, API, ISO, and other relevant industry codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and test packages.
  • Hands-on experience with hydrotest pumps, gauges, manifolds, and test equipment.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and client-handling abilities.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead field teams and work under pressure in site environments.

Pay: From AED6,500.00 per month
