A Project Engineer in ICT / Smart Systems is responsible for planning, installing, and managing technology-based infrastructure systems in buildings and smart city projects.

These systems include:

Smart parking systems

CCTV & security systems

Structured cabling & networking

Access control systems

IoT / smart building automation

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution

Manage end-to-end ICT/smart system projects

Prepare project schedules and implementation plans

Coordinate installation timelines with clients and contractors

2. System Installation & Integration

Oversee installation of:

CCTV systems

Network infrastructure (LAN/WiFi)

Smart parking sensors and controllers

Access control systems

Ensure systems are properly integrated and functional

3. Technical Coordination

Work with:

Electrical engineers

IT/network teams

Site technicians

Solve technical issues during installation

Ensure compatibility of hardware and software systems

4. Testing & Commissioning

Test system performance (network, devices, sensors)

Conduct site inspections before handover

Ensure systems meet project specifications

5. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare:

Technical reports

As-built drawings

Installation documentation

Update project progress reports for management

6. Client & Site Management

Communicate with clients and consultants

Attend site meetings and progress discussions

Ensure project delivery within deadline and budget

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in:

Electrical Engineering

Electronics & Communication

IT / Computer Engineering

2–7+ years experience in ICT / ELV / Smart systems

Knowledge of:

Networking (LAN/WAN, switches, routers)

CCTV & security systems

AutoCAD (advantage)

Strong problem-solving and coordination skills

GCC experience (preferred in Qatar)

Pay: From QAR7,000.00 per month
