Project Engineer - Interior and Fit out

We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Project Engineer (Client Side) with solid experience in the UAE construction industry. The role involves managing multiple new build, renovation, and fit-out projects, coordinating with authorities, consultants, and contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with approved designs, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate must have strong MEP and HVAC knowledge, hands-on site experience, and the ability to make quick and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Site Management

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including new build, renovation, and interior fit-out works

Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, workmanship, and quality compliance

Identify technical, coordination, and site issues early and implement corrective actions

Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities

Manage maintenance issues for rent/occupied projects

Contractor, Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination

Coordinate and manage multiple contractors, subcontractors, and consultants

Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs

Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and HSE standards

Authority Liaison

Liaise with relevant UAE authorities (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, Trakhees, DDA, DM etc.)

Support inspections, approvals, NOCs, and authority coordination in collaboration with consultants

Cost, Quantity & Commercial Support

Prepare, review, and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

Perform quantity take-offs, measurement verification, and quantity checks

Review contractor payment applications and variations

Prepare comparative studies for materials, subcontractors, and suppliers

Assist in cost control, budgeting, and value engineering exercises

MEP & HVAC Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of MEP systems, with particular focus on HVAC systems

Review and coordinate MEP drawings, layouts, and services integration

Identify clashes, constructability issues, and coordination gaps

Resolve MEP and HVAC-related site and design issues efficiently

Coordinate with consultants and contractors during installation, testing, and commissioning

Design Review – Fit-Out & Joinery

Review architectural, fit-out, and joinery drawings for compliance with approved concepts and details

Monitor quality of finishes, materials, and workmanship on site

Ensure alignment between architectural, structural, and MEP works

Procurement & Materials Knowledge

Assist in procurement planning and material approvals

Strong knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and local market pricing

Evaluate supplier quotations and support vendor selection

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare technical, progress, and site reports for management

Maintain proper documentation for approvals, inspections, and project records

Skills & Competencies

Strong MEP and HVAC system knowledge

Excellent problem-solving and quick decision-making ability

Strong coordination and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities

Commercial awareness and cost-control mindset

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline

Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the UAE

Client-side, developer, or PMC experience preferred

Solid knowledge of UAE construction practices, authorities, and regulations

Strong experience in new build, renovation, and fit-out projects

Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD and project management tools are an advantage

Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
