Job Title: Project Engineer – Marine
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and self-driven
Project Engineer – Marine
to independently manage ship repair projects for vessels ranging from
70m to 180m
. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent project control capabilities, and the ability to lead shipyard operations with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Independently plan, manage, and execute ship repair projects for commercial and naval vessels.

Oversee work related to mechanical propulsion systems, including CPP shafts, bow thrusters, azimuth thrusters, main engines, and gearboxes.

Lead and coordinate dry-docking activities, shipyard operations, and repair schedules.

Monitor project progress, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.

Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues through quick decision-making and timely consultation with subject matter experts.

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and classification bodies.

Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and technical records.
Requirements

Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field.

Proven experience managing ship repair or shipyard projects independently.

Strong hands-on knowledge of propulsion systems, engines, gearboxes, and marine machinery.

Experience working with both commercial and naval vessels.

Solid understanding of dry-docking procedures and shipyard operations.

Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and technical troubleshooting skills.
