Industry: Structural Steel Fabrication, Welding & Metal Works
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the steel fabrication and welding workshop.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor fabrication activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, material take-offs (MTO), and project quotations.
- Review drawings and specifications and coordinate with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
- Develop production schedules and allocate manpower, machinery, and resources efficiently.
- Supervise welders, fabricators, painters, and workshop personnel to ensure productivity and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout fabrication and installation processes.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, fabrication works, welding activities, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with relevant welding standards, fabrication codes, and project specifications.
- Monitor material procurement requirements and coordinate with suppliers to maintain inventory levels.
- Track project costs, material consumption, and labor productivity to maximize profitability.
- Identify and resolve technical, operational, and production-related issues.
- Prepare progress reports, production reports, and project status updates for management.
- Ensure workshop equipment and machinery are properly maintained and utilized.
- Coordinate site measurements, site installations, and project handovers when required.
- Implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements across all workshop activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in steel fabrication, welding, structural steel, metal works, or manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding processes, and steel manufacturing practices.
- Experience in estimation, costing, and tender preparation.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and inspection requirements.
- Experience managing workshop manpower and factory operations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and production planning software is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

- Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
