Project Engineer/Designer

Job Summary

3S Incorporated is seeking an entry level designer or engineer to design special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software applications

Update existing drawings

Direct contractors in proper system installation and operation

Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation

Assist in system startups and commissioning

Assist with system inspection and maintenance

Create project specific operation and maintenance manuals

Assist office staff with engineering related tasks

Attend manufacturer training classes

Qualifications

List minimum requirements for education, experience, and proficiencies

Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting

Understanding of MS Office applications

Good organizational skills

Able to communicate technical information

Desire to learn industry standards

Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification
