Company Overview
We are a leading construction and engineering company committed to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager with a strong background in roads and infrastructure projects to oversee survey and civil engineering design, development, and execution activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize design and development stages, including review, verification, and validation of each stage.
- Manage interfaces between stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of responsibilities.
- Ensure all design and development inputs are determined, recorded, and verified.
- Conduct systematic reviews of designs to confirm accuracy against requirements.
- Validate designs per planned arrangements and resolve any discrepancies between construction drawings and design standards.
- Identify and correct errors or omissions in construction drawings.
- Provide technical advice to the project team regarding design specifications.
- Manage changes in design and development, ensuring they are identified, reviewed, verified, and approved before implementation.
- Lead and coordinate the work of surveyors and draftsmen in producing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
- Perform research on survey evidence, maps, deeds, and related documentation to prepare accurate surveys.
- Direct project research, boundary calculations, and ensure accuracy of survey data.
- Coordinate with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records, notes, and sketches.
- Manage and direct team members to ensure work is completed to defined requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Survey or Civil Engineering (B.Sc./B.A. or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with proven expertise in roads and infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Intermediate experience in Civil 3D.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a constant outdoor construction site environment.
