The Role
We are seeking a driven
Project Finance Associate
to support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of project finance transactions across the company’s renewable energy portfolio. The role involves close collaboration with lenders, advisors, and internal teams to deliver bankable, high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
Internal

Support senior team members in the execution of project finance transactions, including structuring, negotiations, and due diligence.

Prepare and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate financing options, project returns, and sensitivities.

Draft internal presentations and investment committee materials.

Conduct research on market developments, sector trends, and financing instruments relevant to renewable energy projects.

Assist in the preparation and review of term sheets, loan documentation, and commercial contracts under guidance of senior staff.

Coordinate inputs from technical, legal, and financial advisors into transaction workstreams.

Ensure accurate data management and version control of financial models and project documentation.
External

Liaise with lenders, advisors, and counterparties to support lender due diligence and transaction execution.

Participate in meetings with DFIs, commercial banks, ECAs, and other financial institutions alongside senior team members.

Manage ongoing reporting and covenant requirements across the company’s project portfolio.

Prepare external presentations for financial institutions, advisors, and project partners.

Contribute to the management of due diligence processes, ensuring timely responses to information requests.

Build professional relationships with the lending community and other key stakeholders.

Occasional travel to target markets.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Law, Finance, or related field.
Experience
-
4–8 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure finance.

Exposure to renewable energy or infrastructure projects preferred.

Experience in emerging markets desirable but not required.

Financial Modelling Certification advantageous but not essential.

French or Arabic language skills a plus.
