We are currently seeking a
Project Geologist
to join our Morocco-based team at
AVESORO-EMX
, responsible for geological data analysis and leading field exploration teams.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and oversee geological exploration projects,
-
Organize geological mapping, sampling, and geophysical/geochemical data collection activities,
-
Design and monitor drilling programs and ensure data integration into geological interpretations,
-
Interpret exploration data and field observations to develop geological models,
-
Ensure compliance with quality standards during sampling and data collection,
-
Guide and mentor field geologists and technicians, assigning tasks and supervising fieldwork,
-
Manage cost, time, and resource planning within exploration projects,
-
Contribute to resource estimation efforts and prepare detailed project reports,
-
Ensure full compliance with the company’s environmental, health, and safety standards.
Qualifications

Education
: Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).

Experience
: Minimum 5 years of experience in mineral exploration projects. Experience in the Moroccan mining sector is strongly preferred.

Technical Knowledge
: Strong skills in geological mapping, data interpretation, and resource evaluation. Familiarity with QA/QC protocols and best practices in mineral exploration. (Software skills such as GIS or 3D modeling are an advantage but not mandatory.)

Regulatory Knowledge:
Knowledge of Moroccan mining exploration regulations (preferably with experience in related regulatory procedures).

Language Skills:
Ability to communicate and report effectively in English, French, and Darija.

: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and planning abilities. Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Effective communication in multicultural environments.

Additional Requirements
: High mobility and flexibility to work under challenging field conditions across Morocco. Valid driver’s license with proven active driving experience. No travel restrictions; ability to work on a rotation-based schedule. Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
