Job Title: Senior Hardware Product Manager / Project Head – IIoT & RTU

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Hardware Manager who can also function as a Project Head for the design and development of RTUs, IIoT Gateways, I/O cards, and industrial power supplies.

The ideal candidate has hands-on hardware design experience, has taken at least one product from concept to market, and understands the complete product lifecycle — from architecture and schematic design to testing, certification, manufacturing support, and launch.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Design & Development

Architect, design, and develop:

RTUs (Remote Terminal Units)

IIoT Gateways

PLC / Controller-class hardware

Digital & Analog I/O cards

Industrial power supplies (AC–DC, DC–DC)

Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs using Altium Designer

Design for industrial reliability, EMC, surge protection, isolation, and field robustness

Component selection with focus on long-term availability and cost optimisation

Product Lifecycle Ownership

Own the end-to-end hardware lifecycle:

Requirements definition

Design & reviews

Prototyping

Bring-up & debugging

Environmental, functional, and compliance testing

Manufacturing handover

Field feedback and revisions

Work closely with firmware, software, mechanical, and testing teams

Support pilot deployments and field trials

Lead product launch readiness

Project & Technical Leadership

Act as Technical Lead / Project Head for hardware development

Define timelines, milestones, and deliverables

Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors (PCB fabs, EMS, component suppliers)

Review designs, mentor junior engineers, and enforce best practices

Participate in customer and utility technical discussions when required

Standards & Compliance

Design products aligned with industrial and power-sector standards such as:

IEC 60255, IEC 61000 series

IEC 61850 / IEC 60870 (hardware perspective)

Industrial surge, EMC, safety requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

10+ years of hands-on hardware design experience

Strong experience in RTU / PLC / IIoT hardware development

Expertise in Altium Designer

Proven experience of taking at least one product to market

Solid understanding of:

Microcontroller- and SoC-based designs

Analog and digital circuits

Industrial communication interfaces (RS485, CAN, Ethernet, etc.)

Power supply design and protection

Experience working with manufacturing and EMS partners

Good to Have

Exposure to SCADA / power automation products

Knowledge of industrial certification processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
