Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant (PMC) to join our architectural firm. The PMC will oversee and manage architectural projects from conception through completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of architectural processes, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. The PMC will be responsible for strategic planning, risk management, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with client objectives and organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, facilitating clear communication and collaboration among all parties.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial performance aligns with project objectives. Identify and mitigate any financial risks.
- Schedule Management: Establish and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met. Adjust schedules as necessary and communicate any changes to stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project success.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular project reports, including progress updates, financial statements, and compliance documentation. Ensure all project records are maintained accurately.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations to enhance customer satisfaction and project outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Lead project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and support to ensure high performance and a positive working environment.
- Change Management: Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring that all adjustments are documented and approved by relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management within the architecture or construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and architectural design software- AutoCAD, .
- Knowledge of Building Codes: Strong understanding of architectural design processes, building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Problem-solving Abilities: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale commercial or institutional projects.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.
- Experience in conflict resolution and negotiation.
