Job Overview

A-Better Heat & Air Conditioning, an established and respected leader in the HVAC industry, is seeking a dedicated and organised **Project Manager** to join our team. With over 40 years of experience providing premier heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions, we are expanding our operations and looking for a professional to oversee projects in the **Ohio or Illinois, United States** region. This is a **Full-Time** position, ideal for an individual with a strong background in project management who is ready to ensure the successful delivery of our services, from central air conditioning installations to indoor air quality system upgrades.

Responsibilities

 

• Plan, organise, and direct the completion of specific HVAC projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate and manage our teams of certified technicians, as well as any necessary subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and perform quality control checks.
• Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and final project documentation.
• Proactively identify and resolve any issues, delays, or challenges that may arise during a project.

Qualifications

 

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the HVAC, construction, or a related trade industry.
• A strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and software.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and industry regulations is highly desirable.
• A relevant qualification in project management would be considered an advantage.
