Project Manager

Nordex is global leader in wind turbine manufacturing, and we are excited to announce that we are expanding our footprint in Türkiye with a new blade production plant in İzmir. As we are growing with a new production plant, we are looking for a qualified & experienced Project Manager to be responsible for the following daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Main responsibility of this role is pivotal in establishing the manufacturing system from scratch and continuously optimizing blade production processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Lead the ramp-up phase of the blade manufacturing plant, including planning, execution, and transition to full-scale operations.
• Design and implement the blade manufacturing system, including layout, workflows, equipment selection, and process documentation.
• Continuously adjust and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Manage the execution of projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all parties, ensuring high levels of quality.
• Manage key suppliers, including those responsible for transportation, erection, and installation before and during plant operations
• Provide monthly progress reports to local and global management
• Ensure full implementation and compliance with all internal Nordex processes.
• Coordinate with support functions (Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain) to meet project specifications and local regulations.
• Ensure timely delivery of components in close collaboration with the departments involved and suppliers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with blade manufacturing is a must
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in the energy or manufacturing engineering sectors.
• Proven experience in manufacturing system design and process optimization.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent planning, risk management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in Turkish business culture and international environments.
• Willingness to manage a portfolio of complex projects from a global perspective.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Turkey and abroad.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Valid driving license.
• Strong competencies in: Planning & organizing as well as End-to-end project ownership
