Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee high-end interior fit-out projects, with a strong focus on flooring, interior finishes, and fabric selections/installations. The successful candidate will manage all project phases from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while meeting client specifications and industry regulations. This role requires expertise in coordinating diverse teams, managing specialized vendors, and possessing in-depth knowledge of materials and installation processes related to flooring, interior design, and textiles.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Manage all aspects of interior fit-out projects, including defining scope, setting timelines, developing detailed project plans, and overseeing the entire execution process.
- Specialized Material Management: Coordinate the selection, procurement, and timely delivery of specific materials, including various flooring types, interior finishes, and fabrics.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, approve expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Site Supervision and Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure work aligns with design specifications and quality standards, and enforce compliance with building safety regulations.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between clients, designers, architects, contractors, and suppliers. Facilitate effective communication to manage expectations and resolve any conflicts or issues promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including contracts, shop drawings, progress reports, and close-out documents.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation and contingency plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: Proven experience in project management, specifically within the interior fit-out or construction industry, with a focus on flooring and fabric/textile applications.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction techniques, interior design principles, building codes, and standards related to finishes.
- Software Proficiency: Competency in project management software (e.g., MS Project), MS Office Suite, and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp is essential.
