Here's a summary of responsibilities:
The USOPC is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Project Manager to support the Commercial Integration and Impact function by overseeing project intake, workflow tracking, and end-to-end project execution across key commercial and brand initiatives. This role will help teams navigate the full project lifecycle, from initial intake and scoping to planning, execution, completion, and review. The Project Manager will partner closely with commercial product owners, internal cross functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure that timelines are coordinated, information is accurate, and project objectives are met.
The Project Manager will maintain a centralized view of all active and upcoming work, ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient collaboration across the commercial ecosystem. This position is ideal for someone who excels at creating structure and new processes, managing multiple concurrent workstreams, and supporting teams through complex and dynamic projects.
Here’s how you’ll have an impact:
Intake, Workflow Management, & Operational Tracking
  • Manage the intake process for new projects, contracts, presentations, proposals, and related work to ensure clarity of scope, accurate documentation, and timely assignment of owners.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized workflow tracking system that provides a global, up to date view of all commercial and brand projects and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and escalate issues that impact timing, quality, or resource allocation.
  • Create and maintain project trackers, schedules, dashboards, and documentation that support visibility for both partners and leadership.
  • Provide regular status updates to commercial teams and senior leaders, ensuring that priorities, deadlines, and dependencies are clearly communicated.
  • Evaluate recurring workflows and recommend opportunities to streamline processes, improve collaboration, and increase efficiency across the commercial project lifecycle.

Project Management for Integrated Platforms
  • Provide end-to-end project management for integrated platforms such as Making Team USA, ensuring all tasks, meetings, timelines, and deliverables are clearly organized and executed.
  • Facilitate cross functional communication between commercial, brand, marketing, event, and sport stakeholders, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, track progress against deliverables, and ensure all materials meet established quality standards.
  • Help prepare briefs, agendas, summaries, and follow up documentation to ensure accountability and continuity across meetings and work sessions.
  • Partner with commercial product owners to ensure activation requirements are clearly understood and executed according to what was sold in.

Development of New Assets & Integrated Platforms
  • Manage projects that build new commercial or brand assets, including cross functional collaboration with internal teams responsible for content, creative, marketing, and partnerships.
  • Support the development of USOPP new business proposals by coordinating Team USA contributions, gathering required materials, organizing inputs, and maintaining review cycles.
  • Define project scopes, requirements, timelines, and milestone plans for new initiatives and integrated platforms.
  • Develop clear documentation and project plans for new assets that enable consistent, scalable execution across teams.
  • Track and control project outcomes, manage changes in scope, and identify potential obstacles. Develop and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or workflow coordination in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with structured timelines and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with workflow and process development, documentation, and optimization.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and coordinating input from multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage details while tracking progress across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of status updates, summaries, and project documents.
  • Skill in building effective working relationships across diverse teams.
  • Ability to work within ambiguity and bring structure and clarity to complex workflows.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify challenges early and propose options.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, workflow platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Non-traditional work hours (i.e., evenings, event weekends, etc.) as needed
  • Serve as on-call for the department for one week of each month (on average)

  • Hiring pay range $37.00 - $40.87 per hour
  • This Part-Time, Temporary position is intended to work 20 hours or less per week for a period up to 6 months.
