Job Purpose

Lead and manage the design process across all project stages from pre-concept to IFC, ensuring alignment with client requirements, regulatory and contractual obligations, and project goals. Serve as the primary liaison between the client, internal teams, consultants, and site team to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Management

  • Lead the design management process from pre-concept through IFC, ensuring alignment with client objectives, project goals, and contractual requirements.
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, and budgets to achieve timely, high-quality outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, control design scope, and ensure design quality by addressing gaps proactively.

Coordination & Integration

  • Coordinate internal design teams and external sub-consultants (MEP, Structural, Landscape, etc.) to deliver fully integrated design packages.
  • Monitor consultant performance and resolve design issues through regular coordination meetings.
  • Support tendering and construction teams with design clarifications and documentation.
  • Liaise with site teams and provide necessary main office support.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

  • Represent the firm in meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities throughout the design development process.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies through regular reports and presentations.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by consistently meeting project objectives and expectations.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all design submissions comply with applicable authority regulations and approvals.
  • Review and approve design deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Implement and maintain internal QA/QC procedures and document control systems.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized university (BSc Arch mandatory)

Professional Certifications:

  • PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience, with proven record managing at least two completed projects in Dubai with construction.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, MS Office)
  • Working knowledge of design tools and coordination platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks is a plus)
  • Solid knowledge of UAE building codes, strong understanding of UAE authority approval processes (Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, RAK, etc.) and international design standards.

Soft Skills / Competencies:

  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Strong client-facing and negotiation abilities.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Languages:

  • English & Arabic (required)
