Job Purpose
Projects Manager is responsible for managing construction and fit out projects from planning through execution and completion. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards, while meeting client expectations.
The position requires close coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure efficient project delivery and continuous improvement in project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Manage construction and fit out projects from initiation to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with client requirements, project timelines, and approved budgets.
- Review project plans, schedules, and deliverables to ensure efficient execution.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
- Coordinate turnkey project requirements with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Construction Management
- Oversee onsite and offsite construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, and project specifications.
- Ensure quality construction standards and proper construction techniques are applied.
- Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control programs.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide guidance to client representatives on project management and construction matters.
- Coordinate with property management teams to minimize operational disruption during project execution.
- Team & Resource Management
- Lead and manage the project execution team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects.
- Monitor team performance and ensure efficient project delivery.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Develop and implement risk management and mitigation strategies for construction and fit out projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
- Value Engineering
- Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize cost, time, and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for improvement without compromising project quality.
- Property Assessments
- Conduct condition assessments for properties and develop corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with property management teams to address technical issues.
- Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project milestones, budgets, and schedules.
- Prepare project reports and provide updates to senior management.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Delivery of construction projects within agreed timelines
- Delivery of projects within approved budgets
- Compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Implementation of zero-harm safety practices

Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Civil Engineering
- Architecture
- Construction Management
- Professional Certifications (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Membership in professional institutions such as:
- Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
- RIBA
- MRICS
- Other Requirements
- Valid UAE Driving License
- Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction or project management
- Proven experience managing construction and fit out projects from inception to completion
- Experience managing turnkey projects and project budgets
- Experience managing design approvals and regulatory processes
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the GCC
