Project Manager

We are an award-winning marketing and sales promotion agency, specializing in the hospitality industry (on-premise food & beverage focus) with several US offices, currently searching for a
project manager to work directly with our account executives.

Scope of Position – Project Manager

This position is responsible for working directly with our account executives and project management, creative and production departments on initiatives for our preeminent hospitality, leisure and food & beverage clients. You will participate in brand/initiative meetings from inception through ideation to execution.

Responsibilities:

· Gain understanding of each project’s needs and goals as directed by the client/AE.

· Develop timelines and regularly communicate key dates to the teams.

· Support with client communications as needed.

· Understand project financials to oversee project transactions and create project estimates.

· Lead weekly project status meetings with your account executive.

· Proofread every item at every stage of the project to ensure artwork is error-free and aligns with both the client(s)’s style and vision and the production specifications.

· Organize project resources, which may include images, art files, spreadsheets, ideation, custom production, technology, etc.

· Effectively communicate timelines, deliverables, goals and expectations.

· Develop an understanding of the company’s capabilities and the detailed steps required to successfully complete a project.

You have:

· 5+ years as a Project Manager, preferably within an agency

· Strong interpersonal and adaptability skills, especially across multiple departments

· Skilled problem solver and decision maker; confidence to think on your feet and outside of the box

· Ability to lead and mentor teams

· Interest in efficient processes and desire for continual improvement

· Experienced key point person for multiple projects running simultaneously

· A bachelor’s degree (marketing, communications, business or hospitality preferred)

· Attention to detail – an eye for spotting spelling errors and inconsistencies in verbiage and style

· Outstanding proofreading skills

· Excellent time management

· The ability to work both independently and in a team environment while managing multiple demands and pressing deadlines

· Pride in your work, with a proactive approach and the ability to think on your feet with a “whatever it takes” approach to achieving client(s)’s goals

· Meticulous organization – you use tools and technologies to stay on track with project deadlines

· Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

· A positive attitude and “team” spirit

Desired:

· Proficiency in the Mac OSX platform

· Print and production knowledge

· Project management system experience (Workamajig a plus)

· Agency / F&B / Hospitality experience (Restaurant, Hotel, Cruise Line, Casino, Theme Park)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

In addition to the above, the perfect candidate is someone who works well within a team while being independent, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communications, is pro-active, tenacious and thinks on his/her feet, is quality driven, creative, pays close attention to detail, prepares for meetings in advance, and takes a “whatever it takes” approach to achieving client’s goals. He/she listens intently to clients and staff, has the ability to quickly build relationships and be influential, and is sociable and fun!

Pay: $69,100.02 - $75,000.00 per year
