1. Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Develop construction schedules and ensure adherence.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
2. Site Management
- Monitor daily site operations and workforce productivity.
- Ensure proper allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
- Resolve site issues and technical challenges.
3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with Qatar HSE regulations and company policies.
- Implement safety procedures and conduct toolbox talks.
- Coordinate with HSE officers for risk assessments and audits.
- Ensure all permits (PTW) and safety systems are in place.
4. Quality Control
- Ensure all work meets project quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.
- Monitor QA/QC procedures and documentation.
5. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Monitor project costs and control expenses.
- Approve material requests and subcontractor invoices.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.
6. Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and government authorities (e.g., Ashghal, Kahramaa).
- Attend project meetings and provide updates.
- Ensure approvals and permits are obtained on time.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain records of site activities, delays, and variations.
- Report project status to senior management.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience
- 8–15 years of construction experience (GCC experience preferred).
- Experience in infrastructure, building, or oil & gas projects.
Certifications (Preferred)
- MMUP/UPDA Certification (mandatory for many roles)
- NEBOSH / IOSH (advantage for safety compliance)
- PMP (optional)
