NOVA Fire & Ice is a growing commercial mechanical contractor serving Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland. We specialize in tenant fit-outs, equipment change-outs, and full mechanical scopes including duct, piping, controls and balancing coordination.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager who can take ownership of commercial HVAC projects from start to finish. This role is not for someone who needs constant direction. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple projects, coordinating with GCs and subcontractors, and ensuring jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC projects from turnover through closeout
• Coordinate with General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals
• Handle RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Track job costs, budgets, and schedules
• Work closely with field foremen to ensure execution aligns with plan
• Schedule inspections, coordinate with jurisdictions, and manage permits as needed
• Ensure projects stay ahead of schedule and avoid delays
• Assist with project buyout and procurement of materials/equipment
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with all parties involved

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC project management (or strong Assistant PM ready to step up)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (duct, piping, equipment)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience working with General Contractors in commercial construction
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once without losing control
• Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 (based on experience)
