Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Project Planning & Implementation
- Develop, review, and update detailed project workplans, implementation schedules, and risk registers on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Provide clear direction and technical guidance to the project team to ensure all activities are delivered to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of all project components — training, field activities, community engagement, and MEAL — ensuring coherence across functions.
- Ensure the smooth and optimum functioning of the project, using initiative to anticipate challenges and drive solutions proactively.
- Manage and coordinate inputs from partners, short-term consultants, and field teams to maintain delivery targets.
- Organize and lead project review meetings, planning sessions, and adaptive management exercises.
Financial & Operational Management
- Prepare, review, and monitor project budgets in close coordination with the finance and operations teams.
- Ensure all expenditures are within approved budgets and comply with donor financial management requirements.
- Oversee procurement planning and approve purchase requests in line with organizational and donor procurement standards.
- Ensure all events, workshops, and logistical arrangements are delivered to donor standards and expectations.
Donor Compliance & Reporting
- Monitor implementation against the Project Management Framework and contractual milestones, ensuring full contract compliance.
- Lead preparation of high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports for donors and senior management.
- Ensure all reporting obligations — financial, narrative, and statistical — are met within stipulated deadlines.
- Proactively manage and communicate issues and risks to relevant stakeholders with proposed mitigation measures.
Partnerships & Capacity Building
- Build the capacity of implementing partners and civil society organizations on project design, implementation strategy, and technical reporting.
- Identify, develop, and document lessons learned, innovations, and best practices for continuous project improvement.
- Maintain constructive relationships with district education authorities, school networks, community leaders, and donors.
- Represent ITA in coordination meetings, stakeholder forums, and external reviews as required.
Gender, Safeguarding & Inclusion
- Ensure all project activities are designed and implemented in line with ITA's gender equality, inclusion, and safeguarding frameworks.
- Ensure full adherence to ITA's Code of Conduct, PSEA, and safeguarding policies across the entire project team.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful working environment for all staff and beneficiaries.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in project management in the development/education sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded projects (WFP, UNICEF, USAID, FCDO, or similar).
- Strong understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) programming preferred.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management tools.
- Fluency in English and Urdu; working knowledge of Sindhi is an advantage.
Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
