Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of assigned projects. The role focuses on translating project strategies and frameworks established by the Project Management Consultant into operational execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved quality and business requirements.

The Project Manager serves as the primary coordinator between business stakeholders, contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal departments to ensure effective implementation of project objectives.

KEY RESULTS AREAS (Key Accountabilities)

Project Execution & Delivery

· Execute projects in accordance with approved project plans.

· Coordinate project activities and ensure timely completion of milestones

· Monitor project schedules and deliverables.

· Escalate deviations and delays promptly.

· Ensure project objectives are achieved within agreed scope.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the central point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with department heads and business units.
  • Facilitate project meetings and action tracking.
  • Ensure timely communication of project updates.

Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Supervise contractors and vendors during project implementation.
  • Monitor contractor performance against agreed deliverables.
  • Verify completion of work prior to payment recommendations.
  • Escalate contractor non-compliance.

Budget Monitoring

  • Track project expenditures.
  • Monitor budget utilization.
  • Report budget variances.
  • Support cost-control initiatives.

Schedule Management

  • Maintain project schedules and implementation plans.
  • Monitor critical path activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Recommend corrective actions for delays.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Maintain project risk and issue logs.
  • Coordinate mitigation actions.
  • Escalate critical project risks.
  • Track closure of project issues.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure project deliverables meet approved specifications.
  • Coordinate inspections and acceptance testing.
  • Monitor compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support project audits.

Reporting

  • Prepare weekly project progress reports.
  • Prepare executive dashboards.
  • Maintain project documentation.
  • Track project KPIs.

Team Coordination

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Allocate project tasks and responsibilities.
  • Monitor team productivity.
  • Support resolution of operational issues impacting project delivery.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of project execution experience
  • Minimum 5 years managing multidisciplinary project teams
  • Experience managing projects valued at QAR 2M+
  • Software: MS Project, Primavera, ERP Systems, Power BI, Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Certifications: PMP preferred
  • Language: English required; Arabic preferred

Tools: ERPnext, PowerBI

Working conditions:

  • The position requires regular site inspections, project progress reviews, contractor coordination meetings, and quality verification activities.
  • Availability to attend early morning, evening, or weekend meetings when required by project schedules.
