Project Manager - Building Construction

Doha, Qatar

Job Purpose:

To oversee, plan, execute, and deliver construction projects within scope, time, budget, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, contractual obligations, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage building construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project execution plans, construction schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor progress and implement corrective measures to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
  • Control project costs and ensure financial targets are achieved.
  • Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices.
  • Manage contracts, claims, and variations in compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders.
  • Ensure all works meet quality standards, technical specifications, and statutory requirements.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise project teams, engineers, and site staff.
  • Ensure effective communication across project stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in building construction projects, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager role.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract management and project controls.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
