Job Purpose:
To oversee, plan, execute, and deliver construction projects within scope, time, budget, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, contractual obligations, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage building construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project execution plans, construction schedules, and resource allocation.
- Monitor progress and implement corrective measures to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
- Control project costs and ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices.
- Manage contracts, claims, and variations in compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders.
- Ensure all works meet quality standards, technical specifications, and statutory requirements.
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise project teams, engineers, and site staff.
- Ensure effective communication across project stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in building construction projects, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract management and project controls.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
