Project Manager- Cash & Trade- Banking

Job Title - Cash & Trade Technology Project Manager

Location - Dubai, UAE

Duration : 6 months

Job Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for execution project as per plan, project scope and support the technology team goals in collaboration with application teams, infrastructure, business and operations. End to end experience in Trade, Cash and Channels deliveries.

Able to manage full-scale project plans and support in managing status reports, RAID logs and work proactively across teams to increase momentum of achieving milestones across the project.

The person will be accountable for the below activities and ultimately working towards on time, on scope and within budget delivery (minimizing risks and optimizing delivery).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-to-end core banking deliveries, ability to deal with critical third-party vendors, expertise in trade, cash, core banking and possess strong project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

o Support the PMO function to assess and support in any risks, delays and mitigations.

o Work on status reporting, plan execution tracking and risk and issue communications.

o Work with cross-functional teams across the bank to mobilize, establish and timely delivery of the project milestones

o Coordinate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors including application teams for assessment, planning, integration and delivery

o Maintain a detailed project plan, risk register (RAID log) and status reporting

o Provide input and status as part of the Technology workstream governance sessions.

o Support product owners, business and operations teams for end-to-end delivery of the project scope.

o Liaise with accountable leads regarding configuration, customization, and development of the applications within scope of the project.

o Coordinate with middleware and API teams to ensure seamless integration between core banking and other applications.

Key Result Areas

Support the tech function for in-scope, on time, on quality, on budget delivery:

  • Manage Project:
  • Monitor and Control Scope and Requirements with traceability across modules.
  • Monitor and control schedule with dependency mapping across internal and vendor timelines.
  • Monitor and control dependencies including third-party APIs, middleware, and regulatory approvals.
  • Monitor and control budget with vendor milestone tracking and change order governance.
  • Manage Risks and Issues with vendor-specific risk registers and mitigation plans.

Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships

  • The Project Manager will need to work across all functions in the organization: establish relations to maximize the opportunities for delivery, address roadblocks, resolve conflicts, agree on prioritizations.
  • The Program Manager will need to have a close working relationships with Business, (Corp) and Functions (Operations, Risk, Compliance, etc).
  • The Program Manger will work across the breadth of the project supporting primarily the PMO and technology function but extend support as and when required to unblock any delays which affect technology delivery.

Problem Solving

  • Will need to deal with all the problems associated with multiple interdependencies that will arise out of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • In a fast paced, dynamic environment where time to market is critical, the incumbent will frequently need to make quick decisions on risks associated with prioritization, conflicting timelines, systems testing hypotheses, etc

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility

· Decision Making Authority under the stewardship of the PMO team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Between 8 to 15 years of experience in banking industry in medium to large projects.
  • Proven experience in managing a transformation Project with multi-stream delivery and large teams.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with the stakeholders across the organisation, especially key contributors to the success of the project
  • Experience in a multi-national consulting company a plus
  • Very good organization skills and presentation skills.
  • PMP Certification a plus

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
