Provide overall day-to-day management of and leadership for assigned projects. Maintain a visible profile among, and active participation with, all project participants by walking the jobsite to see that activities are progressing satisfactorily. Identify any project-related problems early in their formation so that solutions can be identified quickly and economically.

Job Functions:

  • Assist the Director of Construction Management in ensuring that all work is installed in accordance with the contract requirements and normal standards of construction. *
  • Develop complete, detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules. Update project schedules on a regular basis, utilizing contractor input, jobsite visits, quantitative tracking, and other means of input. Review, log, and track Requests for Information (RFIs) so as not to impact the project schedule. *
  • Identify schedule challenges and develop recovery plans when necessary, and communicate the new plan with the entire team. *
  • Ensure Letters of Intent are issued in a timely manner. Assist in developing scopes of work for bid documents and ensuring bidders’ questions are answered in a timely manner. *
  • Review and log the status of all submittals. Submittals to be reviewed for contract compliance items. Properly distribute submittals. *
  • Manage changes to projects through periodic review of potential change orders with clients and contractors, and follow through with the issuance and execution of change orders. *
  • Review Jobsite Safety plans with the Director of Construction Management. Assist in permit planning, estimating studies, constructability reviews, and value engineering concepts. *
  • Develop and maintain budget analysis reports for each project, including cost issue logs, invoice log, cashflow reports, and other reports necessary to report the status of project costs. Process invoices in a timely manner. *
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Construction Management or Engineering
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Construction Management experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project. Ability to utilize various project management software programs, including CPM, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Ability to develop concept phase project schedules
  • Is goal-oriented consistent with Project and Company goals
  • Exhibit good organizational and time management skills
  • Understands the different forms of agreements
  • Understands and exhibits the technical knowledge necessary to comprehend, coordinate, and solve problems
