Role Purpose
The Project Manager – Core Finance is responsible for leading and delivering complex finance transformation and system implementation projects. The role requires strong authority, resilience, and the ability to firmly manage demanding stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Core Finance projects (ERP, GL, AP/AR, Reporting, Budgeting, Compliance).
  • Act as the single point of accountability for project execution and outcomes.
  • Manage senior and difficult stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and enforce decisions when required.
  • Drive scope, schedule, cost, and quality control with zero tolerance for slippage without justification.
  • Translate finance business requirements into clear project plans and executable deliverables.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, and delays decisively with clear impact analysis and recommendations.
  • Enforce governance, change control, and approval processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Vendors, External Consultants).
  • Hold vendors and internal teams accountable to contractual and delivery commitments.
  • Prepare and present clear, fact-based status reports to steering committees and executives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive post-implementation stabilization and benefits realization.

Stakeholder Management (Critical Requirement)

  • Confidently engage with CFOs, Finance Heads, Controllers, IT Leaders, and external partners.
  • Push back on unrealistic demands while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Resolve conflicts decisively and keep focus on business priorities.
  • Influence without authority and take firm control when alignment breaks down.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or PMP preferred).
  • 7–10+ years of project management experience in Core Finance / Financial Systems.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale finance transformation or ERP projects.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes (GL, AP, AR, FA, Budgeting, Reporting).
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-pressure stakeholders and executive committees.
  • Solid knowledge of project governance, risk management, and change control.
  • Strong vendor management and contract oversight experience.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: BD2,500.000 - BD3,000.000 per month
