Project Manager: Ecommerce Operations

This is an on-site role in Dubai

Salary is up to 7,000 AED/month


As the company scales across existing and new countries, Ecommerce Operations is evolving to support increasingly complex logistics, fulfillment, payments, marketplaces and operational launches.


As Project Manager: Ecommerce Operations, this role will own the management and execution of critical ecommerce operational projects across logistics, marketplaces, payments, country launches and operational scalability initiatives.


The expectation is high ownership, urgency, follow-through and strong execution. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and collaborator who proactively drives projects forward, removes blockers quickly, escalates risks early and ensures launches happen successfully and scale operationally.


Core Responsibilities & Weightages

1. Ecommerce Operations Project Management — 30%

Own end-to-end management and execution of critical Ecommerce Operations projects.


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple ecommerce operational projects simultaneously
  • Creating clear timelines, owners, milestones and execution plans
  • Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across Ecommerce, Product, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Support and external partners
  • Following up consistently to maintain execution momentum
  • Identifying blockers, risks and dependencies early
  • Escalating issues clearly and constructively
  • Ensuring projects launch operationally stable and scalable
  • Driving post-launch stabilization, reporting and optimization
  • Using project management tools effectively; prior Basecamp experience is a definite plus


The expectation is excellent ownership, communication, urgency and execution discipline.


2. Logistics, Fulfillment & Delivery Operations — 25%

Support logistics and fulfillment transformation initiatives across existing and new markets.


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing logistics partner evaluation, onboarding and transition projects
  • Supporting forward fulfillment, reverse fulfillment and COD operational readiness
  • Coordinating delivery capability improvements, including faster delivery propositions where relevant
  • Working with logistics technology platforms and delivery partners on implementation
  • Monitoring delivery SLAs, fulfillment performance and operational stability
  • Coordinating issue resolution across logistics, warehouse and customer support teams
  • Driving continuous improvements in delivery experience, cost and reliability


The expectation is scalable, reliable and commercially sensible ecommerce logistics execution.


3. Marketplace & New Channel Operations — 15%

Own operational execution for marketplace, partner channel and new market launch initiatives.


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing operational readiness for new ecommerce channels and partner integrations
  • Coordinating catalog, pricing, inventory, fulfillment and customer experience workflows
  • Aligning internal stakeholders and external partners ahead of launch
  • Supporting launch governance, testing, issue resolution and operational stabilization
  • Monitoring operational performance post-launch and driving improvements
  • Ensuring new channels are operationally scalable and commercially viable


The expectation is smooth launches, strong partner coordination and disciplined post-launch execution.


4. Commercial Operations & Catalog Expansion Support — 15%

Support operational execution for strategic commercial initiatives and catalog growth programs.


Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating operational readiness for large-scale catalog expansion initiatives
  • Working with Brand Portfolio Managers, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Ecommerce teams
  • Supporting stock readiness, pricing, promotions and operational workflows
  • Tracking execution progress, issues and dependencies
  • Ensuring catalog growth initiatives are operationally scalable
  • Identifying process improvements and automation opportunities


The expectation is strong operational support for growth initiatives without creating unnecessary manual complexity.


5. Payments & PSP Operations — 10%

Own payment partner evaluation, implementation coordination and operational management.


Responsibilities include:

  • Researching and evaluating leading payment service providers
  • Managing proposal collection, commercial comparisons and recommendation documents
  • Coordinating approvals, implementation planning and launch readiness
  • Working closely with Finance, Product, Engineering and external PSP partners
  • Monitoring payment performance, cost, reliability and operational issues post-launch
  • Managing ongoing PSP relationships and optimization opportunities


The expectation is commercially sharp and operationally reliable payment execution.


6. Reporting, Visibility & Process Improvement — 5%

Drive operational visibility, reporting and continuous improvement.


Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining clear project trackers, dashboards and status updates
  • Providing concise stakeholder visibility on progress, blockers and risks
  • Identifying recurring operational inefficiencies proactively
  • Supporting SOP creation, process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Reducing manual dependency and improving operational scalability


The expectation is operational clarity, transparency and continuous improvement.

  • Has strong ecommerce operations and project management experience
  • Is proactive, organized and execution driven
  • Communicates clearly and collaborates well across teams
  • Pushes projects forward without constant supervision
  • Has strong urgency, follow-through and attention to detail
  • Can manage multiple high-pressure projects simultaneously
  • Escalates issues early instead of hiding problems
  • Understands ecommerce operations, logistics, marketplaces, payments and partner management
  • Is comfortable working with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • Uses project management tools well; prior Basecamp experience is a definite plus
  • Thrives in fast-moving environments


Preferred Background

  • Ecommerce operations experience
  • Logistics, fulfillment or marketplace project experience
  • COD, PSP or payment operations experience
  • GCC ecommerce experience preferred
  • Shopify ecosystem familiarity preferred
  • Strong reporting, documentation and stakeholder coordination skills
