Summary:


The Project Manager – Facilities & Signage Coordination leads and coordinates projects across UNC Health Pardee, ensuring smooth execution from planning to completion. This role coordinates with the project management team, various internal departments, external contractors, and vendors to deliver high-quality results that enhance operations and patient experience. While overseeing a variety of project management initiatives, the position also serves as the organization’s lead for signage and wayfinding projects, ensuring they meet compliance, branding, and accessibility standards.


Responsibilities:


Project Coordination & Execution

  • Plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and project goals are met.
  • Coordinate the work of contractors, vendors, and design teams, ensuring clear communication, proper sequencing, and adherence to specifications.
  • Oversee on-site activities, resolve issues quickly, and adapt plans as needed to maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including department leaders, staff, and community partners.
  • Participate in project related meetings, provide updates, and ensure all parties are aligned on project scope and progress/issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to support smooth project delivery.

Specialized Area – Signage & Wayfinding

  • Evaluate signage needs and develop solutions that meet ADA, building, and fire code requirements, as well as UNC Health’s wayfinding standards.

  • Coordinate with signage vendors, contractors, and design firms for production and installation.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Proven experience in project management with a strong focus on contractor/vendor coordination/relationship building.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of wayfinding and signage requirements per UNC’s Standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid NC Driver’s License

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
