Project Manager (Fit-Out Background)

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering interior fit-out projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves managing site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client relationships while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end fit-out project lifecycle from initiation to handover
  • Develop project schedules, work programs, and resource plans
  • Define scope, milestones, and deliverables

2. Site & Construction Management

  • Oversee daily site operations and ensure smooth execution
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and foremen
  • Ensure work is carried out as per drawings, specifications, and authority approvals

3. Contractor & Supplier Coordination

  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Monitor performance, progress, and quality of work
  • Ensure timely procurement and material delivery

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and consultants
  • Conduct regular progress meetings and provide updates
  • Handle client feedback, variations, and approvals

5. Budget & Cost Control

  • Monitor project budgets and control costs
  • Review BOQs, variations, and claims
  • Ensure profitability and cost efficiency

6. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications
  • Conduct inspections and snagging processes
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and authority requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense)

7. Health & Safety

  • Enforce HSE policies and procedures on-site
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments

8. Project Reporting

  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports
  • Track KPIs, timelines, and project milestones
  • Report risks, delays, and mitigation plans

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field

Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in interior fit-out projects
  • Proven experience managing commercial, retail, or residential fit-out projects
  • UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • NEBOSH / IOSH (Health & Safety)

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent project planning and organizational abilities
  • Strong knowledge of fit-out processes (joinery, MEP coordination, finishes)
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
