CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Project Manager will manage one of the projects under SCI refugees and migrants’ portfolio running at greater Cairo. The Project Manager will manage response projects or other projects running at Greater Cairo. The Project Manager will play a leading role in planning, coordinating and monitoring the implementation of a multisectoral project including but not limited to child protection, education, livelihoods, cash assistance, and youth empowerment components. These projects aim to provide direct services to refugees and migrants as well as host communities living in Greater Cairo directly or through local partners. She/ he will be responsible for staff / partner capacity building. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of timely results and for coordination with relevant stakeholders including donors, governmental bodies and internal units. Support to other field offices might be required.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly
