We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale UAV-based geospatial and inspection projects end-to-end.

Role Overview

As the Project Manager – GIS Projects, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering UAV-based mapping and inspection projects for public and enterprise clients. This is a client-facing role requiring a mix of technical expertise, project management discipline, and team leadership skills. You will work closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Field Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver end-to-end UAV-based geospatial and inspection projects – from project kickoff, planning, and execution to data processing and final deliverables.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to design mission plans, data acquisition workflows, and processing pipelines aligned with client objectives.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, risks, and resources, ensuring adherence to SLAs and quality benchmarks.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (pilots, data analysts, GIS specialists) to ensure smooth field operations and data processing.
• Coordinate with clients for progress reviews, milestone approvals, and final acceptance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and tender norms (DGCA, data security, government tender requirements).
• Prepare project documentation including execution plans, risk registers, reports, and post-project reviews.
• Recommend process improvements and technology adoption to make project delivery more efficient and scalable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing, GIS, or related field.
• Project Management certification (PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile) preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in GIS / UAV mapping / remote sensing projects, including at least 3 years in a project management or delivery lead role.
• Proven track record of executing large-scale UAV-based geospatial or inspection projects (city-scale mapping, infrastructure inspection, corridor mapping, etc.).
• Experience in working with public sector / government contracts and delivering projects under strict compliance requirements.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and photogrammetry tools (Pix4D, Metashape, ContextCapture, etc.).
• Familiarity with LiDAR data processing, orthomosaic generation, and 3D modeling.
• Knowledge of data management pipelines and cloud-based geospatial platforms.
• Strong MS Project, Jira, or other project tracking tool experience.

• Excellent stakeholder management and client communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities to motivate field and analysis teams.
• Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and optimizing workflows.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and deliver on tight timelines.
