Job Role: Lead Full Stack Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and React to lead a talented team of software engineers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical leadership, drive engineering excellence, and foster collaboration across teams. This role involves hands-on development, mentoring, architectural design, and ensuring best practices in agile software delivery, CI/CD, and test-driven development (TDD).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of full-stack software engineers, promoting a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Drive technical excellence across architecture, design, coding, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and stakeholders to define project scope, sprint goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
• Ensure high test coverage and adherence to TDD principles across all codebases.
• Conduct code reviews, providing actionable feedback to maintain code quality, security, and performance.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups) and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Identify and implement improvements in tools, processes, and infrastructure to enhance productivity and scalability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across global time zones (including US Eastern and Pacific) to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support career development through mentoring, 1:1 sessions, performance reviews, and goal setting.

Technical Environment:

• Frontend: React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Backend: Ruby on Rails, MVC Architecture, Ruby Gems, Bundler

• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (IAM, Security Groups, KMS, Secrets Manager)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of experience in full-stack web development with hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails and React.
• Deep understanding of Rails framework, MVC architecture, and the Ruby ecosystem.
• Experience with RSpec, Minitest, or other testing frameworks for Rails.
• Proficiency in Git-based workflows in a collaborative environment.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, cloud security principles, and infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Empathy, adaptability, and a mentorship mindset to help engineers grow.
• Commitment to TDD, CI/CD, and Agile best practices.
• Must be based in Hyderabad and available for hybrid work (2–3 days onsite per week).

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with GraphQL, TypeScript, or Next.js.
• Exposure to performance optimization and application security.
• Experience working with distributed teams across geographies.
• Understanding of DevSecOps and modern cloud-native practices.
