Project Manager – Interior Design & Contracting

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager with expertise in interior design project contracting. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of high-end interior design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of interior construction, procurement, and client management.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and work schedules.

• Coordinate with designers, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.

• Review and approve design plans, materials, and construction schedules.

• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.

• Manage client expectations, provide regular progress updates, and address any concerns proactively.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain a smooth workflow.

Procurement & Budget Management:

• Oversee material selection and procurement, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.

• Track project expenses and control costs to stay within the approved budget.

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.

On-Site Supervision & Quality Control:

• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.

• Identify and address potential risks or delays, implementing effective solutions.

• Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail in all aspects of the project.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, approvals, and progress reports.

• Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.

• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the interior design or construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and procurement processes.

• Proficiency in project management tools: MS Project, AutoCAD, SketchUp

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

• Strong ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

• Knowledge of building codes, health & safety regulations, and contract management.

• Exceptional communication and client management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification is a plus.

• Experience with luxury or high-end interior projects.

• Understanding of sustainable and innovative design practices.
