The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing technology projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational objectives. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical expertise to manage cross-functional teams and drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, ensuring compliance with established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones aligned with business goals.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures for initiatives such as software development, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams — including developers, network engineers, architects, and QA professionals — to ensure smooth execution and collaboration.
- Provide regular project status updates, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts or risks proactively.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure project continuity.
- Oversee change management processes, including adjustments to scope, schedule, and resources, while maintaining detailed documentation.
- Ensure project records, progress reports, and change logs are properly maintained and compliant with organizational standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Lean methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Project Management certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent (preferred).
- Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale IT projects.
