Summary

An experienced Project Manager to lead custom joinery and retail fit-out projects from award through installation and handover.

This role focuses on managing multiple fast-paced retail and installation projects while ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Our Client is a reputable joinery manufacturing and interiors specialist operating across retail, hospitality, and entertainment projects in the Middle East. They are recognized for delivering high-quality bespoke solutions and managing complex installations across multiple regions.


Roles/Responsibilities

  • Lead project kick-off meetings with internal teams, fit-out partners, and where required, general contractors
  • Align project scope, timelines, and expectations across all stakeholders
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments as required, providing feedback to the Setting Out team on site constraints and critical dimensions
  • Support on-site setting out and marking of joinery equipment when needed
  • Address technical queries from clients, consultants, and contractors throughout manufacturing and installation phases
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly site progress reports with photographs
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines independently
  • Proactively drive project execution without the need for constant supervision
  • Maintain daily communication with clients, fit-out teams, and factory personnel
  • Monitor installations and feedback improvements to the setting out and manufacturing teams
  • Confidently manage client interactions, negotiations, and high-pressure situations
  • Coordinate site activities, ensuring tasks are aligned with the full project scope
  • Travel across the MENA region and beyond as required, with flexibility for extended or weekend work


Qualifications

  • 5–8 years’ experience in joinery manufacturing and interior fit-out projects
  • Proven experience managing retail, hospitality, or entertainment projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of joinery fabrication and materials including timber, veneers, laminates, hardware, fabrics, glass, stone, lighting, and related finishes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a large, fast-moving environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Confident decision-maker with a proactive, self-driven approach
  • Team-oriented leader capable of motivating others and driving performance improvements
