Project Manager - Security Contract

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager (PM) to oversee a specialized armed security services contract. This role requires a strong background in armed security services and administrative contract support. The PM is to be physically present from 0800 to 1630, Monday through Friday, except for Federal Holidays and weekend. This individual shall be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the client contract. Job Expectations:

  • The Project Manager (PM) shall be responsible for all deficiencies and errors made by their employees and take proper actions to eliminate any future incidents.
  • They shall report any security violations, personnel shortages and customer complaints immediately to the COR and CO.
  • They shall take action to solve any personnel shortages due to illness within two hours of being notified.
  • They shall be the decision maker responsible for all questions that their employee has about their security officer orders and or working processes at their designated position. The Contractor shall ensure that they can be contacted at all times by the COR and/or the CO during the COR and CO scheduled work hours.
  • They shall not perform duties as a supervisor or security officer on this contract. They shall be the single point of contact through which all Contractor/Government operational communications are exchanged, and technical direction shall flow except in an emergency. During an emergency, the contact person shall be the supervisor on duty.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, or Security Management from an accredited University and/or college

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to twelve (12) hours per day, either indoors or outdoors, during daytime or nighttime. Outdoor posts may require the CSO to withstand extreme heat, humidity, cold, and/or severe weather (e.g., snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind) for up to four hours without shelter. Many posts have no chair/seating available; thus, the CSO must be able to stand for up to four consecutive hours.
  • Frequent contact with the general public, law enforcement, and dispatch center, requiring the ability to speak clearly and distinctly and remain calm in stressful situations (e.g., confrontations with angry, distraught, disturbed, or violent persons).
  • Ability to remain on post up to four consecutive hours without eating, drinking, or receiving comfort breaks.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of alertness for up to twelve (12) hours, with the ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations.
  • Use of senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch) is necessary to discern unusual or dangerous situations.
  • Ability to use post security equipment (magnetometers, X-rays, CCTV). Ability to use
  • handcuffs, baton, and firearm at any time while on duty.
  • Ability to read post assignments, write reports, and respond to both routine and emergency dispatches/orders.
  • Ability to subdue violent or potentially violent, disturbed individuals, or intervene in a crisis situation (e.g., provide emergency First Aid/CPR while waiting for arrival of paramedics or other emergency personnel).
  • Occasional running, sprinting, lifting heavy weights, moving heavy objects, climbing stairs (e.g., in responding to emergencies, ensuring timely and complete facility evacuations, giving pursuit, etc.).

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work may be performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.

APPEARANCE/PERSONALITY: Professional, upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, dependable, takes pride in work.

WORKING HOURS AND DAYS: This assignment may require the CSO to work any days and any shift. No guarantee is made for a particular schedule.

Pay: $83,326.00 - $96,326.00 per year
